Fridays are nice. You look forward to the weekend and while you're at work bored you wander into your email and find that your favorite weekly newsletter arrived. I speak of the newsletter at AnimeCornerStore.com. These guys are great.

More importantly they deliver good news and let it's subscribers know that Broccoli Books were closing their doors. Thi might be pretty depressing to some and under them the Juvenile Orion manga was published, which was a manga series i liked.

FTA "Shizuki Yamashita announced this week that Broccoli International USA will be shut down and dissolved at the end of the year. This includes Broccoli Books and the Shonen Ai imprint Boysenberry, which previously published the Manga titles Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion, Digi Charat Theater, Galaxy Angel, Galaxy Angel II,  Disgaea, Kamui, Sola, Nui!, Murder Princess, Es, and several others. This also finally puts their DVD division Sync-Point to bed, and eliminates the possibility that there will be any future releases of the FLCL unless another firm picks up the license."

FLCL's last box release was already touted to be the last time it would be printed so if you never got your hands on one, don't expect it anytime soon unless you manage to find someone still with a box. I'm in the crowd without one :(.

Our economy isn't doing so great and unfortunately the anime industry is feeling it as well. Hopefully we get through these times soon!
