I thought it would be nice to take a step back & learn a few more basic phrases these next few days before we learn other stuff. Here's something really simple that we all ask people almost everyday.

Romaji: O genki desu ka? (oh GEHN-kee dess KAH)

Japanese:　お元気ですか。（おげんきですか。）

English: How are you? (literally: Are you well?)

Now you can ask people how they're doing everyday! You can also pair it up w/ a greeting, like: お早うございます。　お元気ですか。(Ohayoo gozaimasu. O genki desu ka? / Good morning. How are you?) Have fun practicing!
