As The Gurran Brigade travels to the beast man base they stop for training, which consists of Kamina throwing large rocks at Simon. Out of nowhere blasts hit Gurren and nock him off balance.  It turn out that the blasts come from four Ganmen hunters that call themselves the Black Kinsmen, a guy named Kittan and three sisters names, Kiyoh, Kinon and Kiyal. The Black Kinsmen were hunting a 16 faced Ganmen which turns out that they all try to eat.
