Kamina and Simon live in the underground city of Jeeha, and the villagers are always living in fear of earthquakes and the ceiling collapse. But kamina is different, he strives for the surface which he has seen once before as a kid but it is forbidden to leave Jeeha and is thwarted from trying to escape. One day while secretly digging for treasure Simon comes across something that looks like a drill bit, and also another treasure that looks like a giant face. While Simon was breaking Kamina out of Punishment to show him his discovery another giant face falls through the ceiling and starts destroying the village, but it isn’t the only thing that came from the surface, a strange girl named Yoko with an amazing physique wielding a sniper rifle helps Kamina and Simon to Deafeat their enemy and escape to the surface along with some help from Simon’s discovery the Ganmen named Lagann.
